Praia do Ancão is the beach of Quinta do Lago, at the heart of the Golden Triangle — the Algarve’s most exclusive area. With about 1.5 km of fine golden sand and a 4.6 rating, it has a Blue Flag and a refined atmosphere, within the Ria Formosa Natural Park.
Getting there and parking
You reach it through the Quinta do Lago area, crossing a wooden boardwalk over the Ria Formosa dunes to the sand. Parking is mixed, with both free and paid options.
