Praia do Pinhão is a small, scenic beach tucked away on the Lagos coast, with about 130 metres of fine golden sand and a 4.6 rating. Split into two sections by a cliff, it’s known for the arches, caves, and unique rock formations that surround it.
Getting there and parking
It’s a short walk from the centre of Lagos, with free parking next to the fire station.
The sand and the sea
Around 130 metres of fine golden sand meet calm water. The rock formations, with arches and small caves, make it one of the best spots in Lagos for snorkelling, especially at low tide.
Facilities
It’s a smaller, more secluded beach, with good conditions for families but without the amenities of the urban beaches — worth bringing water and whatever you need for the day.
Where to eat
There are no restaurants right on the sand; the centre of Lagos, a few minutes away, has the full range of the town’s restaurants and cafés.
Nearby beaches
Praia da Batata is just 400 metres away, while Praia de Dona Ana (about 600 metres) and Praia do Camilo (about 900 metres) sit along the same stretch of rugged coast. Meia Praia is about 1.9 km.
